After serving churches for 30 years in pastoral positions, God called me into education where I spent 9 years in various teaching roles. My wife Nancy and I have been residents of Waller County since 2010. We are excited that we now call GCA our home as well!
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3
I graduated nursing school as an RN in 2002. After having had the opportunity to work in several different areas of nursing, I have to say that children have my heart.
My husband Robert and I have been together for 17 years and have a beautiful daughter named Brooklynn. Becoming a mother has, by far, been my greatest accomplishment and earthly blessing. After having the opportunity of being a stay-at-home mom for a while, God has led me here! I thoroughly love working with children and watching them excel in their accomplishments.
I am now in my 5th year here at Grace Christian Academy and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. I recently took a short “break” from working for about 9 months and am happy to say that I am back! Since being back, I have expanded my role for the 2022-2023 school year from RN and Admissions to now include the Business Development for GCA. I can’t wait to see what blessings are in store for Grace Christian Academy!
No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Joshua 1:5 NIV)
I grew up on a small family farm in Texas. Activities in 4-H taught me a love for animals and plants. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Working with animals for eight years showed me a new love for teaching. I went back to school to get my teaching certification. Earning my Master Gardener certification showed me a way to combine my love of teaching and gardening by teaching Junior Master Gardeners Program to local youth and writing books to inspire them to love gardening. I not only want to show kids how to grow their own food and care for the plants, but the importance of plants to them and their environment. I still live on the family farm with a German Shepherd Dog, two cats and more plants than I can count
